The latest information from the Santa Cruz County Department of Health in regards to masks is that all students are to wear masks when indoors with these exceptions: When in their dorm room or when seated in the cafeteria eating. Masks are to be worn while going through the cafeteria line. Masks are not required when outside but are always optional.

We hope that you and your families had a pleasant and safe holiday weekend and joining all of us here at MBA for a New Year that continues to show us evidence of God's presence all around daily.

We are looking forward to having everyone back on campus for the spring semester starting with move-in day on January 4 and classes starting on January 5.

Our teachers have been working on modifications to our current schedule, considering the emotional and physical wellbeing of our students. Please watch my video below as I explain our modified schedule for the rest of the fall semester.

Today the Monterey Bay Academy School Board met via zoom for our annual Fall meeting. They reviewed and discussed the state (California) and county (Santa Cruz) restrictions and guidelines that are needed to be in place before schools are able to open.

Governor Newsom's New State Blueprint states that schools are not allowed to reopen until they have met the New State Mandatory COVID-19 Metrics, which we are hopeful our County will meet in the following weeks. With that in mind, we have updated our Reopening Plan, hoping to have all dorm students on campus by October 4.
