Reopening Plan — September 1, 2020
Governor Newsom's New State Blueprint states that schools are not allowed to reopen until they have met the New State Mandatory COVID-19 Metrics, which we are hopeful our County will meet in the following weeks. With that in mind, we have updated our Reopening Plan, hoping to have all dorm students on campus by October 4.
However, we are aware that you and your family will have to decide whether you'd like your student to attend classes on campus or continue with our remote learning program. Please let us know no later than September 21 by filling out this form if your student will be joining us for on-campus classes or continue with the remote learning program.
Please watch my video below as I explain our updated reopening plan for October.

MBA Reopening Plan — October Update
This plan is as of August 31, 2020. This plan depends on the Santa Cruz County meeting the New State Mandatory COVID-19 Metrics for the Red Tier over the next four weeks, which will allow schools to open and for MBA to bring dorm students back to campus.
October Reopening Calendar
October 1 — Student Leaders arrival only: Resident Assistants and Campus Ministries
October 2 — No School – Teachers’ In-service
October 4 — Move-in Day and Airport Pick-up
October 5 — Dorm Student On-site Orientation / Remote Learn Resource Day
TWO WEEKS QUARANTINE AT HOME AND AT CAMPUS
Two weeks prior the students’ arrival, each student will need to shelter in place at home and be mindful of their contact exposure.
Upon arrival, all students will be quarantined from October 4-17, 2020, at the MBA campus with adherence to state and county health guidelines. Students will be required to wear face coverings, maintain social distancing, and practice hand washing.
DORM
Rooms will be single occupancy. Each student will be assigned a room for themselves.
REGISTERING FOR ON-CAMPUS CLASSES
If your student will be joining us for on-campus classes or continue with the remote learning program, please let us know no later than September 21 by filling out this form.
CAMPUS
MBA’s campus will be closed to visitors and parents from October 5 till November 22, except for the initial drop off and pick up at the end of the semester. MBA will not accept students beyond the move-in day, October 4, for the fall semester.
CLASS SCHEDULE
Beginning October 6, all students, on-campus and remote learning students, will follow the on-campus class schedule. Our academic office will send each student the new class schedule by September 30.
