During the first semester, MBA’s campus is closed to visitors and parents except for pick-up and drop-off of students.
Off-campus trips for Dorm & Hybrid students are limited to their own parents/guardians only. MBA is encouraging as few contact points and as little exposure as possible.
All students and staff will wear approved face coverings during the academic day.
Teachers will wear clear face shields while instructing students during the academic day.
Hand sanitizer will be available at all campus buildings and classroom entrances and exits.
We will limit the number of people in all campus spaces to the number that can be reasonably accommodated while maintaining social distancing following the Social Distancing Protocols.
MBA will meet the CDC cleanliness standards before reopening and maintain a high level during the school year.
Desks, tables & chairs will be disinfected between classes.
High touch surfaces will be disinfected daily, Monday to Friday, with products approved for use against COVID-19.
MBA will follow guidelines for triaging students, recognizing that not all symptoms are COVID-19 related. Students and staff that develop symptoms of COVID-19 will be separated from others right away and will be transported to a healthcare facility for testing and possible treatment.
Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 will not return to school until they have met CDC criteria to discontinue isolation.
Campus Safety
Only staff, faculty, and students are allowed in the campus loop.
Campus roads will have barriers and signs to indicate a closed campus.
All deliveries will be through the business office, excluding cafe deliveries.
Campus residents and industries’ mail will be available from 5:45 to 7 pm Monday-Thursday, 2 to 4 pm Friday.
All campus facilities are off-limits to non-staff. This includes the Pool and Gym. The dog park is open to faculty, staff, and campus residents from 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm Monday-Sunday.
All off-campus appointments will be by phone or video conference.
MBA will provide all spiritual programing in Baker Chapel and other approved locations and will be limited to students, faculty, and staff households only.
MBA students will not be attending the MBA community church or other off-campus spiritual events.
The cafeteria will be limited to students, faculty, staff, and assigned volunteers.
Meals will be served with distancing and no self-service buffets.
Campus Programming
All Dorm and Hybrid students, staff, faculty, and SM volunteers will be sheltered in place from August 16-30, 2020, on-campus with adherence to state and county health guidelines.
The school program will go from registration on August 16, 2020, straight to Thanksgiving break ending on November 24, 2020. We are planning for distance learning for the two weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation. We will cover this topic in more detail later.
MBA will be accepting Day and Hybrid students for the Fall semester 2020.
Day and Hybrid students who choose to convert to full-time Dorm Students can apply for financial assistance.
Due to the current situation, we are canceling our Fall home leave. We will add those days on to Christmas vacation. This means that students will remain on campus until Thanksgiving break and return in January.
The second semester begins on January 5, 2021.
