Alumni Weekend 2022

 
 

Join us April 22-23.

After careful consideration, it has been decided that Monterey Bay Academy will plan on having a modified in-person Alumni Weekend, April 22-23, 2022.

We are grateful to have a modified in-person reunion and trust you will be understanding of the changes this year. While it is possible that restrictions will be lifted before Alumni Weekend, there would not be sufficient time to plan a traditional Alumni Weekend. It is our hope and prayer that 2023 will allow for the normal Alumni Weekend activities.

There will not be a virtual Alumni Weekend this year. However, the services will be live-streamed for viewing.

  • Due to indoor food service restrictions placed on edu- cational institutions in Santa Cruz County, there will not be a Scholarship Reception on Thursday, April 21. The 49er Brunch is also cancelled for Sunday, April 24.

  • Due to volunteer and staffing constraints, there will not be an organized golf tournament this year. How- ever, alumni can gather friends and classmates to arrange their own tee times at any of the public courses in Santa Cruz County.

Schedule of Events

Friday, April 22

  • 7:30 pm — Vespers Planned by the Alumni Department, featuring current MBA students

Friday evening vespers will be planned by the Alumni Office this year. 

Sabbath, April 23

10:00 am — Church Service Elder Dan Serns, Central California Conference President

 

After church — All-School Potluck

2:00 pm — Class Meetings (various locations)

2:00 pm — Honor class pictures (Baker Chapel) Classes will be called at their time

4:30 pm — Music Concert (MBA Church) MBA Music Department: Oceanaires & Westwinds

 

8:30 pm — Alumni Games (Gymnasium)

 

Honor Class Meetings

Our deepest apologies to the honor classes of the past two years for missing your reunions. Unfortunately, due to the number of classes that have missed out on their class reunions because of COViD-19 restrictions, MBA does not have enough meeting areas to accommodate both current and missed honor classes.

  • Current honor classes—ending in 2 and 7—will have meeting locations.

  • Please know that ALL MISSED HONOR CLASSES ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND the rest of the scheduled weekend events.
